Do not order by “N90” alone.
Different manufacturers may use different dimensions and component designs even when the machine is sold under the same N90 model name.
The safest way to identify a replacement part is to compare the old component, its dimensions and the machine itself.
Common N90 spare parts
Typical replacement and wear items may include:
- polisher drum
- milling drum
- screen
- sieve
- belt
- bearing
- shaft
- pulley
- roller
- screw roller
- blower fan components
- bolts and connecting components
A 2024 Fogera survey found that N90 users frequently identified the polisher drum, screen and belt as major worn parts. Milling and blower chamber components were also frequently associated with breakdowns.
Why N90 part compatibility is complicated
“N90” should be treated as a machine family or common market designation, not as a universal dimensional standard.
Two N90 machines may look similar but use different:
- screen dimensions
- shaft diameters
- pulley sizes
- bearing specifications
- bolt patterns
- drum dimensions
For that reason, we do not recommend confirming compatibility from the model name alone.
What should you send us?
For the fastest identification, send:
- Full machine photo
- Machine nameplate
- Photo of the old or damaged part
- Part dimensions
- Required quantity
If possible, place a ruler or measuring tape next to the component when taking photos.
Do not throw away the old part
The old component can be extremely useful.
For older rice mills, it may provide better identification information than the machine nameplate.
Check:
- total length
- outside diameter
- inside diameter
- hole spacing
- thickness
- number of teeth or ribs
- shaft size
Spare parts are a real operating issue
The Fogera study found that local spare-parts availability was inconsistent, with some millers relying on Bahir Dar, Addis Ababa or overseas suppliers. Respondents also reported concerns about low-quality replacement parts and sometimes reused components from older machines.
This makes correct part identification and quality control more important than simply finding the cheapest replacement.
